When to choose local?

• When the aim is to collaborate and to enhance awareness on shared injustices, challenges, and concerns
• When the relevance of the petition resonates with a regional population and communities affected by the issue/problem
• When the potential impact can directly or indirectly influence advocacy efforts to foster solidarity and collective action, and to pressure policymakers, international corporations, and regional governing bodies to make needed changes. 

When to choose International?

• When the petition's focus is relevant and of importance on an international level, such as human rights violations, social justice issues, and environmental concerns.
• When the petition aims to create and enhance global awareness and mobilize support from individuals and organizations worldwide
• When the relevance of the petition resonates on a human level and could potentially affect humanity as a whole, and foster global solidarity, collective responsibility, and action to amplify the voices of marginalized communities
• When the potential impact can directly or indirectly influence advocacy efforts to foster collective action, and to pressure policymakers, international corporations, regional governing bodies, and international bodies to take action contributing to policy change, corporate accountability, or diplomatic efforts

We have to be systematic in writing the story of the issue and build it convincingly, how?

• Start with a strong and striking first paragraph that briefly raises the issue and determines the negative aspects it causes. Talk about the people who are affected by it, in a way that shows the size of the phenomenon and creates sympathy for them. We recommend choosing the most important influential information, not a lot of it
• In the second paragraph, affirm the importance of this petition as a step to pressure and solve this problem or aspect of it, and why is it important to do this now
• With the third paragraph, we explain the demands we're making that would solve the problem, what they are, what they require, what are the potential positive outcomes, and who is the target side of the demand (Who we ask and for what)
• Make sure to end the text with a call to sign and spread the petition

• It is preferable to choose a picture in which people are close, representing those affected by the case
• Choose a picture related to the issue addressed, embodying its topic and showing its size
• Choose a picture in which general characters representing the target can be noticed
• The image should be of high quality
